Execution of many similar industrial plants creates the idea of standardization in Large Scale industrial project in leading companies and this concept rapidly growing in all large scale industries. Standardization refers to all activity which makes two similar plants most identical to each other. This paper introduces standardization concepts and background, and also develops standardization technique in replicable industrial projects like steel, power, cement and petrochemical plants and this method could be applied to other replicable industries as well.
Standardization provides more scalable and manageable method compare to other project execution techniques and has great practicable applicability in industry.
Standardization of project has great advantages like cost saving, time reduction and quality improvement. Also utilizing previous project experience, adding value to them and preventing staring from zero for each project, are other advantages.
